SLC Golden Leopard Pendant Necklace

A little wild. A little glamorous. And wonderfully unexpected.

This rare, elusive, and striking leopard pendant comes from Select Jewelry, Inc., a New York jewelry manufacturer founded in 1983 and known for its distinctive work in gold and sterling silver. Sculptural and richly detailed, the leopard is finished with hand-painted enamel and warm 14K gold, giving the piece the character of a jewel with a story behind it.

On the underside, the marks SLC, 925 and 14K 1/20 identify the maker and materials. SLC is the signature of Select Jewelry; 925 indicates sterling silver, while 14K 1/20 denotes a substantial layer of 14K gold bonded to the sterling silver with heat and pressure. The result is the rich warmth and presence of gold with the enduring foundation of sterling silver.

Suspended from an 18" cable-link chain, the leopard has just the right amount of attitude - sophisticated, collectible and decidedly not ordinary. A wonderful example of the unexpected jewelry we love to uncover at George & Fred - a little old New York glamour, a little wild, and entirely unique.
