A lovely piece of early 20th-century English bone china, this Redfern & Drakeford “Balmoral” salad plate features the same crisp white ground and elegant black geometric swag border as the coordinating pieces in the collection.
At approximately 7" in diameter, it is a wonderful size for salads, desserts, pastries, or afternoon tea. Made in Staffordshire by Redfern & Drakeford, whose Balmoral Works operated from approximately 1902 until the company ceased production in 1933, it has that wonderfully restrained Edwardian character that mixes beautifully with both antique and modern tableware.
