Created from an original watercolor by Chicago artist Maggie Caravello, this Art Institute of Chicago framed print captures one of the museum’s iconic lions with quiet elegance and charm. Soft washes of color bring the landmark to life, celebrating Chicago’s artistic spirit and timeless architecture. Presented as an 8.5” x 11” print with a white mat and finished in a rich black wood 11” x 14” frame, it’s a refined piece for anyone who loves art, the city, or both.

About Maggie Caravello
Maggie Caravello is a Chicago-based urban artist with a specialty in loose sketches and watercolors. Maggie spent 25 years taking a variety of drawing and painting classes where she recognized a love for urban sketching. She dedicated two years to living in Buenos Aires, Argentina to develop her craft. While there, she took classes, participated with the Buenos Aires Urban Sketching community and spent countless hours sitting in cafes, drawing and painting the scenic views. It was there that she developed a love for a loose ink drawing style enhanced with watercolor. Her artwork is now focused on iconic landmarks in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
