A beautifully unusual piece of German porcelain, this vintage Bremer & Schmidt “Pagode” coffee pot, likely circa 1925-1940, has a wonderful architectural shape and an almost sculptural presence.
Bremer & Schmidt, known by the BSE mark, produced porcelain in Eisenberg, Germany, from the late 19th century through the 20th century. The impressed “Pagode” mark refers to this distinctive form, with its graceful, slightly exotic silhouette and elegant proportions.
Decorated with rich cobalt blue and red florals, scrolling details, and delicate dotted accents, it has just the right amount of old-world charm.
