Thrown on the wheel and hand-faceted while still wet, this faceted planter with succulent balances organic shape with sculptural form. Each cup is made using wild-foraged clay and glaze materials from Northern California, minimally refined to let the natural beauty speak through. The glaze, a nod to traditional Japanese nuka, is crafted from milled local granite, quartz sand, and wood ash, creating a soft, natural finish with quiet depth.
Planter for now, in the future you can use it for sake, espresso, a bud vase...this gorgeous guy is multi-functional. Holds approximately 2 oz if used as a cup in the future, and stands 2–2.5" tall. No two are alike - each a small, thoughtful expression of place and process.
